It is a big sign of hope that attention is being given to migrant philantrophy. In the IMDI organized event, it was very heart-warming. Very different from the conferences I have ever attended. The gesture of giving by migrants (individually or as a group)really comes from the heart unlike those from regular funding agencies. And it is what makes it a great factor in genuine development. The energy and the love put into it has far reaching effect towards changing the world. They might be small but put together, has big potential for impact and leveraging for the other resources that can be accessed by local NGOs like what we are experiencing.
